How TouchDown Works TouchDown is high-speed video and data transfer. With our Smartserver, you get the software and hardware needed to set up a Wi-Fi environment in your bus yard. With an antenna attached to your building and wireless transmitters installed on your buses, you can begin wirelessly transmitting video and data on a daily basis.
TouchDown is a complete, all-inclusive, wireless video and data transfer system that really works. Loaded with automated features, TouchDown does the work for you. It gives you the video you need, GPS data you can use and alerts you when there's a problem.
The 5 Major Functions of TouchDown Auto Video Transfer Any marked video events by your drivers get downloaded to the server when the bus returns to the yard automatically after each route. This eliminates the need to retrieve these events manually.
On-Demand Video Transfer Users may also retrieve larger portions of video by scheduling video downloads before and after the buses have returned to the bus yard. For up to 4 hours after shutdown, video can be viewed and saved from any bus.
GPS MiniTRACK Data Transfer All GPS data (including MiniTRACK and DriveSafe) is automatically downloaded to the server after each route has been completed. At the conclusion, the downloaded data is available for immediate review.
DVR Health Check Each time a bus returns to the yard, the Smartserver checks the system for problems. If any portion of the system's operation has failed, the user is notified on the command center's screen.
DVR Remote Maintenance Software updates and any additional changes to the settings of the DVR can now be done remotely eliminating the need to directly connect a laptop onboard each bus.
